Covid-19 Announcement

Coronavirus update

Update Monday 15th June 2020 – Guidance on Showroom Visits

Our Showrooms are now officially open on the advertised days/times shown on the relevant showroom door and our Website.
However, please see some guidelines below:

Please read our Safety Operations Procedure Guide.

• Depending on showroom, there will be some restrictions on the number of people we can sensibly have in at any one time. If the door is locked or not automatically opening during our advertised opening hours, then this means we already have visitors in the showroom, please either wait by this Door for a member of the Sherborne team to come and speak to you, or call us on our office number 01252 370917 to book a confirmed day and time to visit.

• It is important that anyone visiting our showrooms has not had or displayed symptoms of Covid_19 in the last 7 days.

• Anyone who is classed as vulnerable should not visit our showrooms.

• When entering the showroom please use the anti-bacterial wipes &/or hand sanitizer provided.

• Masks are provided for our staff but not for visitors, if you want to wear a mask you are required to provide your own.

• When in our Showrooms, please do observe social distancing guidelines

Sherborne & TWofHW full guide on our safety procedures to combat Covid-19 are available on our website or by request.

Thank you for observing the guidelines currently in place, safety for all is our priority right now.

Wednesday 13th May 2020 – an update from Chris Long, our MD & Founder.

Once again I would like to thank our staff, our clients and our suppliers for their support and patience throughout this period of temporary closure for the business.

Further to the announcements made by the Government in recent days and after checking with Governing Bodies in our industry it has now been confirmed that some of our operations can re-commence.

We are now starting to plan a gradual return to work, it is going to take some time for normal operations to completely return but some installations are now able to resume and other parts of the business will gradually get back to some form of normality.

Cleary the safety & well-being of all that we come into contact with is paramount and we are already putting in place all of the safety guidelines & PPE that will be required to keep our staff & all of our clients safe, I would ask that everyone continues to bear with us whilst we get the business up & running again & please rest assured we will do all we can to work through the backlog as quickly as is possible.

Our showrooms remain closed although we plan to set up a ‘By Appointment Only’ facility which will enable us to control for now footfall into our showrooms, our website will display the relevant safety precautions in place for both any installations we carry out or for any visits to our showrooms that are booked.

For New Enquiries:

Our sales team are set up remotely so that all new enquiries can be dealt with quickly & efficiently. We have full access to everything we need to prepare information and quotations. If you have any queries relating to a new enquiry please contact us via email: enquiries@sherbornewindows.co.uk .

Our Price Promise

We are pleased to announce that we have introduced a NEW scheme to ‘lock-in’ the prices provided on any new quotes and existing quotes over the last 6 months. These will also get a priority pass for any new orders that are processed when we can return to work. To take advantage of this scheme, please get in touch to place your order before 31st June 2020 with a nominal holding deposit.

We are very conscious of the fact that our lead times are going to extend due to the current situation and are recommending to anyone who wants work done as soon as is safe to do so, to take advantage of our NEW ‘lock-in’ scheme now.

For Emergencies:

Our team is still on hand to help deal with any emergencies. Please do contact us via our enquiries email address at enquiries@sherbornewindows.co.uk if you need help or advice relating to the work we do. We will do all we can to help anyone in need – providing it is safe to do so.

In the mean-time if there is anything we can help with please do contact us by email and most importantly please take care & stay safe.

With Kind Regards,

Chris Long

Monday 30th March 2020 – an update from Chris Long our MD & Founder.

Further to the message posted on our website on the 23rd March 2020, I would like to issue a further update.
Firstly, can I please say a big thank you to all our staff & clients who have been so supportive over the last week or so! It’s not an easy time for anyone but all of the messages of support & offers of assistance have been very gratefully received. Thank you.

All Sherborne sites are now closed – including Timber Windows of Hartley Wintney. All works have been suspended and any emergencies were addressed last week and are now fully complete. All of our staff have now been stood down and are safely at home looking after themselves & their families.
Additionally, we have given permission to some of our staff to use their Sherborne vehicles should they need to in case of a personal emergency or for essential travel if they have no other way to travel. Therefore, if you do see a Sherborne vehicle on the roads it will be for this reason.

On a positive note, our order book is very full & we’ll have lots of work to get back to. If you have placed an order with us which has now been delayed due to the current circumstances, please be rest assured that a member of our team will be in contact directly to update you as soon as possible. If you would like any additional assistance, please contact us via the website contact form or via the email provided below. Like most businesses, we are awaiting some clarity from the UK Government as to when we can return to business as normal and as soon as we are advised we can return to work safely, we will be in touch.
